The ultimate fishtail parka as worn by the coolest of mods back in the late 1950’s / 1960’s. Quality wise, an M-1948 fishtail parka is simply the best ever produced. The U.S. Army only produced M48 parka’s for one year as they were simply too expensive. The successor to the M-1948 fishtail parka is the M-1951 fishtail parka. M51 parka coats were mass produced in comparison to M48 parka’s and are more commonly known.
We do have original M-1948 fishtail parkas in stock from time to time. Please contact us if you are after an original. Please understand that they are very hard to find and the liners are even rarer. Original M48 liners are like hen's teeth, hence they are the most expensive component of the parka.
